By Ray Mileur
The Cardinal Chronicle Farm Report is your most complete daily look at the Cardinals’ minor league system — from box scores and standings to standout performances and prospect notes.
Tuesday’s report had one clear pitching headline: Cooper Hjerpe helped Memphis throw a shutout.
It also had one loud offensive line: Matthew Miura reached base six times for Palm Beach.
Across the full-season affiliates, the Cardinals went 2-3, with Memphis winning, Palm Beach splitting two games, and both Springfield and Peoria taking losses.
Memphis Redbirds — Triple-A
Overall Record: 64-51
Second Half: 17-23, 8th in the International League West, 8.0 GB
Streak: W2
Memphis 6, Durham 0
Memphis opened the day with the cleanest win in the system, shutting out Durham 6-0 behind a strong start from Cooper Hjerpe and a bullpen that finished the job.
Hjerpe earned Cardinal Chronicle Pitcher of the Day honors after working four scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, walking two and striking out five.
His final line: 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
The Redbirds pitching staff combined for nine shutout innings, allowing only four hits while striking out 13. Jared Shuster, Matt Svanson, Austin Love and Skylar Hales handled the final five innings.
The offense backed it up with 11 hits. Noah Mendlinger went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, while Colton Ledbetter hit his eighth home run of the season. Thomas Saggese doubled and drove in two, Joshua Báez had two hits and stole two bases, and Leo Bernal added his 19th double.
Takeaway: Memphis has won two straight, and this was a complete win — pitching, defense, run production and a shutout on the road.
Springfield Cardinals — Double-A
Overall Record: 55-53
Second Half: 24-16, 1st in the Texas League North
Streak: L4
Northwest Arkansas 15, Springfield 8
Springfield’s slide continued Tuesday night.
The Cardinals scored eight runs, drew seven walks and hit two home runs, but the pitching staff could not keep Northwest Arkansas off the board in a 15-8 loss.
Jesús Báez went 2-for-5 with his 16th Double-A home run and two RBIs. Jack Gurevitch also homered, his first with Springfield. Tai Peete doubled and drove in two runs, while Dakota Harris doubled and drove in two. Rainiel Rodriguez added a hit, a walk and an RBI.
The problem was run prevention. Blake Aita allowed 11 runs, nine earned, over four innings. Northwest Arkansas finished with 17 hits and five home runs. Jack Findlay did provide two scoreless innings with three strikeouts, and Nolan Sparks struck out three in a scoreless eighth.
Takeaway: Springfield is still in first place, but the Cardinals have now lost four straight. The offense kept fighting, but the early damage was too much.
Peoria Chiefs — High-A
Overall Record: 53-55
Second Half: 21-21, 5th in the Midwest League West, 4.5 GB
Streak: L1
Beloit 7, Peoria 6 — 10 innings
Peoria nearly pulled off another late rally, but the Chiefs came up one run short in extra innings.
Beloit scored four runs in the top of the 10th. Peoria answered with three in the bottom half, but the comeback stopped there in a 7-6 loss at Dozer Park.
Brayden Smith hit his first home run of the season and drove in two. Cade McGee had two hits, a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Ian Petrutz walked twice and scored twice, while Sammy Hernandez singled, walked and stole his 17th base.
On the mound, Ty Van Dyke gave Peoria five innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out five. Nate Dohm followed with three innings of one-run ball and three strikeouts, but the 10th inning got away from Patrick Galle.
Takeaway: Peoria showed some fight in the 10th, but Beloit’s four-run inning proved to be just enough.
Palm Beach Cardinals — Low-A
Overall Record: 55-54
Second Half: 22-21, 2nd in the Florida State League East, 5.0 GB
Streak: L1
Palm Beach 9, Daytona 7
Daytona 7, Palm Beach 6 — 7 innings
Palm Beach split its two listed games against Daytona, winning the first 9-7 before dropping the second 7-6 in seven innings.
The big individual performance belonged to Matthew Miura, who earned Cardinal Chronicle Player of the Day honors after going 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored, three walks and two stolen bases in the 9-7 win.
His final line: 3-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, 3 BB, 2 SB
That is a full day at the plate.
Ryan Mitchell hit his 10th home run of the season in the opener. Miguel Hernández doubled, drove in a run, walked three times and stole a base. Sebastian Dos Santos had two hits and an RBI, while Yairo Padilla added two hits and an RBI.
In the second game, Jayden Lobliner went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Gabe Camacho had two hits, a double and two RBIs. Owen Henne, Alexander Frias and Trevor Haskins each had two hits in the loss.
Takeaway: Miura’s day was the offensive headline, but Palm Beach could not finish the sweep. The Cardinals scored 15 runs across the two games and still came away with only a split.

Cardinal Chronicle Player of the Day
Matthew Miura, CF, Palm Beach Cardinals
Miura had the most complete offensive line in the system Tuesday, reaching base six times and adding speed to the box score.
His final line: 3-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, 3 BB, 2 SB
Three hits. Three walks. Two stolen bases.
That is how you control a game from the top or middle of a lineup.
Cardinal Chronicle Pitcher of the Day
Cooper Hjerpe, LHP, Memphis Redbirds
Hjerpe set the tone for Memphis in a 6-0 shutout win over Durham.
His final line: 4.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
He did not work deep enough to qualify for a traditional win, but he gave Memphis four strong innings and handed the ball to a bullpen that finished the shutout.
The Final Word
The day belonged to Memphis pitching and Matthew Miura’s bat.
Memphis threw the only shutout in the system, and Hjerpe was the tone-setter. Palm Beach had the biggest offensive day, with Miura reaching base six times and the Cardinals scoring 15 runs across two games.
Springfield and Peoria made noise offensively, but both losses had the same problem: too many runs allowed at the wrong time.
Memphis keeps rolling.
Palm Beach split a busy day.
Peoria nearly stole one late.
Springfield needs to stop the slide.
That is the farm report.
