It was a winning Sunday across the Cardinals’ system, with three of four affiliates coming out on top to close out their respective series.

Memphis delivered late-inning drama to claim first place outright, Peoria broke out the bats in a big way, and Palm Beach continued to show why it’s one of the early stories in the system.

That’s how you build momentum—one level at a time.

Memphis Redbirds (AAA)
14–7, 1st Place — International League West

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Redbirds capped a six-game series against the Gwinnett Stripers with a 6-5 comeback victory Sunday afternoon at AutoZone Park, using a late-inning rally to secure both the win and sole possession of first place.

Trailing 5-4 entering the bottom of the eighth, Memphis found its moment. Catcher Leo Bernal delivered the spark with a game-tying solo home run, part of a perfect afternoon in which he went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a walk, reaching base in all four plate appearances.

The rally continued as César Prieto followed with a sacrifice fly, bringing home the go-ahead run and giving Memphis its first lead since earlier in the game.

On the mound, Max Rajcic (2-1) handled the late innings with a scoreless frame to earn the win, closing the door after the offense flipped the game. Earlier, right-hander Hunter Dobbins, on a Major League rehab assignment, worked 3.1 innings as he continues his progression back toward full strength.

With the victory, Memphis improved to 14-7, claimed the series 4-2, and now sits alone atop the International League West.

Next: Off day Monday. The Redbirds open a road series Tuesday night at Norfolk (5:35 p.m. CDT).

Springfield Cardinals (AA)
Record: 5-10, 5th Place — Texas League North

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield Cardinals closed out their series with Wichita on the wrong side of a 3-1 decision Sunday afternoon at Equity Bank Park, managing just one run in a game where offense proved difficult to generate.
Springfield was limited to scattered production at the plate and was unable to string together sustained rallies. Despite keeping the game within reach, the Cardinals could not deliver the timely hit needed to shift momentum late.

It was a quiet finish to a six-game set that ultimately went Wichita’s way, a reminder of how thin the margin can be in low-scoring games over the course of a long season.

Next: Off day Monday before returning home Tuesday evening to face the Midland RockHounds.

Peoria Chiefs (High-A)
5–9, T-3rd Place — Midwest League West

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — The Peoria Chiefs turned in one of their most complete performances of the season, rolling to an 11-1 victory over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Sunday’s series finale at Neuroscience Group Field.

Peoria seized control early, breaking the game open with a four-run second inning and continuing to apply pressure throughout the afternoon. The offense set the pace, producing consistently and putting the game out of reach before Wisconsin could respond.

On the mound, both the starter and bullpen delivered a sharp performance, combining to limit Wisconsin to just one run and keeping traffic off the bases. It was a clean, efficient effort that supported the offensive breakout.
With the win, Peoria improved to 5-9 and earned a 3-3 split in the six-game series.

Next: Off day Monday before opening a six-game homestand Tuesday against Cedar Rapids (6:05 p.m.).

Palm Beach Cardinals (Low-A)
11–4, 1st Place — Florida State League East

JUPITER, Fla. — The Palm Beach Cardinals edged the Jupiter Hammerheads 7-6 Sunday afternoon at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, winning the first “Duel of the Dean” series of the 2026 season.

Palm Beach leaned on steady offense throughout the lineup. Heriberto Caraballo and Ryan Weingartner each recorded two hits, while Ryan Mitchell drove in a pair of runs to help pace the attack.

The game heated up in the late innings, but Antoni Cuello answered the call out of the bullpen, recording a four-out save to preserve the victory and secure the series win.

With the win, Palm Beach improved to 11-4, continuing a strong early-season run built on timely hitting and reliable pitching. The Beach Birds are showing a gift for winning close games—a trait that often defines successful clubs over the long haul.

Next: Off day Monday before continuing their homestand.

Final Word
A 3-1 day across the system, a first-place Memphis club, and a Palm Beach team that continues to set the pace down low.

It’s early, but there’s a stable rhythm forming in this system and Cardinals farm system, like the Major League club is worth your attention.
