Thursday was a good night on the farm.
Memphis came from behind to beat Durham. Springfield unloaded in a 14-1 win at Corpus Christi. Peoria beat Quad Cities behind two big swings and a dominant strikeout start from Jacob Odle. Palm Beach won its third straight, beating Daytona in the ninth.
The Cardinals’ full-season affiliates finished 4-0.
Tristan Bissetta earned Player of the Day honors after going 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored for Peoria. Jacob Odle, the MLB Pipeline No. 13 prospect, earned Pitcher of the Day honors after striking out 12 over five innings for the Chiefs.
Memphis Redbirds — Triple-A
Overall Record: 73-62
Second Half: 26-34, 9th in the International League West

Memphis 5, Durham 4
Memphis got back in the win column with a late push at AutoZone Park.
The Redbirds beat Durham, 5-4, scoring twice in the seventh inning to tie the game and once more in the eighth to take the lead. Memphis finished with five runs on eight hits.
Ramon Mendoza reached base four times, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and two walks. Bligh Madris, Zach Levenson, Trey Paige and Andy Yerzy also drove in runs. Paige doubled, while Noah Mendlinger walked and scored.
On the mound, Josh Fleming worked 4.2 innings, allowing four earned runs while striking out seven. Pete Hansen followed with one of the best relief lines of the night, working 3.1 scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Matt Svanson finished it with a scoreless ninth.
Takeaway: Memphis answered a rough loss the day before by rallying late, with Hansen and Svanson combining for 4.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Springfield Cardinals — Double-A
Overall Record: 71-57
Second Half: 40-20, 1st in the Texas League North

Springfield 14, Corpus Christi 1
Springfield wasted no time putting this one away.
The Cardinals scored two runs in the first, six in the second, two in the sixth, two in the seventh and two more in the eighth, rolling to a 14-1 win over Corpus Christi. Springfield finished with 10 hits, 13 walks and 13 RBIs.
Rainiel Rodriguez, the MLB Pipeline No. 1 prospect, went 1-for-2 with four RBIs, three walks and a run scored. Deniel Ortiz, the MLB Pipeline No. 27 prospect, homered, drove in three and scored. Josiah Ragsdale, the MLB Pipeline No. 10 prospect, went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, three runs, a walk and two stolen bases.
Jesús Báez, the MLB Pipeline No. 21 prospect, added two hits, two RBIs, a run, a walk and a stolen base. Ryan Campos reached four times, scored three runs and stole a base. Cade McGee walked three times and scored twice.
On the mound, Liam Doyle, the MLB Pipeline No. 2 prospect, gave Springfield 5.2 innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four. Nolan Sparks, Michael Watson and Randel Clemente combined for 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Takeaway: Springfield’s offense overwhelmed Corpus Christi early, and Doyle kept the Hooks from ever getting back into the game.
Peoria Chiefs — High-A
Overall Record: 62-66
Second Half: 30-32, 5th in the Midwest League West

Peoria 5, Quad Cities 3
Peoria had the Hitter of the Day and Pitcher of the Day in the same game.
The Chiefs beat Quad Cities, 5-3, scoring three runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth. Peoria finished with six hits, and two of them left the ballpark.
Tristan Bissetta had the biggest offensive line in the system, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.
His final line: 2-for-4, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R
Anyelo Encarnación also homered and drove in two. Yordalin Peña doubled, José Suárez stole his 25th base, and Ryan Weingartner added his third stolen base.
On the mound, Jacob Odle, the MLB Pipeline No. 13 prospect, delivered the best pitching performance of the night. Odle worked five innings, allowing two hits, two earned runs and three walks while striking out 12.
His final line: 5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 12 K
The bullpen backed him up. Gerardo Salas, Dylan Driessen and Rubén Menes combined for four innings, allowing one unearned run and striking out three. Peoria pitchers held Quad Cities to three hits and struck out 15.
Takeaway: Bissetta and Encarnación supplied the power, and Odle gave Peoria a 12-strikeout start in a strong all-around win.
Palm Beach Cardinals — Low-A
Overall Record: 65-64
Second Half: 32-31, 2nd in the Florida State League East

Palm Beach keeps winning.
The Cardinals beat Daytona, 6-5, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the ninth after Daytona had tied the game with three runs in the eighth. Palm Beach overcame four errors and finished with six runs on nine hits.
Sebastian Dos Santos, the MLB Pipeline No. 14 prospect, went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base. Trevor Condon went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Miguel Hernández had a hit and a walk. Ryan Mitchell, the MLB Pipeline No. 24 prospect, had a hit and a walk. Trevor Haskins reached base twice and scored two runs.
On the mound, Earle Zulueta worked 3.1 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Brian Garmon added 1.2 scoreless innings with three strikeouts, and Nathan Shinn worked a scoreless ninth.
Takeaway: Palm Beach overcame a late blown lead and four errors, then walked it off in the ninth for its third straight win.
