Minor League Player of the Day — Blaze Jordan (Memphis)
On a night when offense was hard to come by across the system, Blaze Jordan stood out.
The Memphis corner infielder went 2-for-5 with the club’s only RBI, accounting for the lone run in a tight 2-1 extra-inning loss. More importantly, he was one of the few hitters who consistently squared the ball up in a game where opportunities were there but execution was lacking.
Jordan’s approach continues to trend in the right direction — controlled at-bats, staying within himself, and producing when chances arise. In a lineup that stranded 11 runners, he was the one guy who cashed in.
That matters.
