César Prieto continues to be one of the hottest hitters in the Cardinals’ system—and Tuesday night was another reminder why.

The Memphis infielder earned Player of the Day honors after delivering a key performance in the Redbirds’ 4-3 win over Gwinnett, a game that continues to highlight Memphis’ early-season surge.

Prieto went deep for his fourth home run of the season, continuing a stretch in which he has consistently produced at the plate while anchoring the top of the lineup.

More than just the home run, it’s the consistency that stands out.

Prieto is driving the ball with authority, controlling at-bats, and producing in key spots—exactly what you want from a hitter at the Triple-A level pushing for opportunity.
