MiLB Pitcher of the Day — Ty Van Dyke
St. Louis, Mo.
By Ray Mileur
Ty Van Dyke continues to give Palm Beach exactly what it needs at the top of the rotation.
The right-hander earned MiLB Pitcher of the Day honors after delivering six scoreless innings in the Cardinals’ 3-0 win over Jupiter, another strong outing in what has been an impressive start to the season for the Low-A club.
Van Dyke worked efficiently, kept hitters off balance, and controlled the game from the first pitch to the last. He allowed no runs while consistently getting ahead in counts and limiting any real scoring threat.
It wasn’t overpowering.
It was effective.
Why It Matters
Van Dyke’s outing is part of a growing trend in Palm Beach.
The pitching staff is setting the tone early, and performances like this are turning that into a real identity. For a young club, that matters.
It gives them a chance to win every night.
The Bottom Line
Good starts don’t always have to be loud.
Six scoreless innings, clean execution, and a win—that’s the job.
And right now, Ty Van Dyke is doing it as well as anyone in the system.
